Office Location

Our office is located in East Austin, near the University Hills, Pecan Springs, and Windsor Park neighborhoods.

General Dentist

Cindy Rho, DMD

Dr. Rho began her professional career doing cancer research with Texas Children’s Cancer Center and Baylor College of Medicine. She then worked for the American Cancer Society for 8 years before transitioning into dentistry. She has practiced dentistry for over 11 yrs and loves getting to use both her artistic and analytical sides to help her patients.

Dr. Rho has done volunteer work with Mission of Mercy, Hope Smiles, and for a local resident who worked hard to get off of the streets and into a stable home environment.

In her free time you will find Dr. Rho playing soccer with the Austin Women’s Soccer League, doing aerial arts at Sky Candy, or hiking & camping with her husband, stepsons, and 2 dogs. An avid music lover, you might also catch her at a concert.

General Dentist (Retired)

Alice Johnson, DDS

Dr. Johnson has transitioned from full-time practice into retirement. She is enjoying her free time with her children and grandchildren, as well as with her hobbies. She is also still running her business Chiral Balance.

Dr Johnson started out working in the dental field as a dental assistant. After a number of years, she then went on to attend the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio. She graduated cum laude in 1994 with special recognition for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry for her outstanding clinical skills, patient management and leadership.

Dental Hygienist

Shirley Thomas, RDH

Shirley worked with Dr. Johnson for over 18 years, and has been offering her expertise as a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 20 years.

We are ecstatic that she has continued on with the office to continue offering her outstanding skills to our patients.

Front Desk

Janie Ruiz

You’re most likely to catch Janie at the front desk, but she helps out where ever she can at the office! Janie has worked in the dental industry for nearly 40 years.

Janie is extroverted and loves working, Chinese food, and the beach. She enjoys being with her grandchildren and is a world-class babysitter.

Casie Schmitt

Casaundra (Casie for short) has been a dental assistant for 4 years, and began working with Dr. Rho and Dr. Johnson late last year.

Casie moved to the Austin area from outside of Chicago, IL last fall. She loves cooking, crocheting, and exploring the area with her partner and their two dogs.

Lupe Roa

Lupe also worked with Dr. Johnson for several years and has continued on with the office to help address more complex insurance questions and needs. An expert in all things insurance, she is a wonderful asset to the office and to our patients.

Chastity Holloway

Chastity is the first, friendly face you will see when you walk into the office. She helps with addressing scheduling, insurance needs, claims, and payments. She is also an experienced Dental Assistant.
